About Lucas Palicki

Golf has been a lifelong passion, beginning at an early age and growing through years of competitive play, caddying, and an enduring interest in golf course architecture. Long before pursuing it professionally, I spent countless hours studying courses, sketching golf holes, and even creating my own yardage books—experiences that sparked a lasting fascination with golf course design.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) with a B.S. in Architecture, completing internships with several award-winning firms. Throughout my college years, I remained active in competitive golf, playing on the club team and competing in local, state, and national events while gaining firsthand experience on many of the country's most architecturally significant courses.

Following graduation, I began working in golf course construction with Randy Vaught at Golf Construction Associates, where I gained practical experience in the construction and implementation of golf course projects. Building on that foundation, I established my consulting practice, assisting golf course architects and clubs with master planning, design development, and presentation graphics.

Drawing on my background in architecture, construction, and a lifelong understanding of the game, I strive to uphold golf’s enduring principles—strategic design, respect for the natural landscape, and the belief that the simplest solutions often create the most memorable golf.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me in the gym, traveling to see, study, and play new golf courses, spending time with my family and fiancée, Edie, or cheering on my favorite Cincinnati sports teams.
