Ryland Lakes Country Club
Master Plan
Palicki Golf Design assisted architects Brian Ross of Ross Golf Design and Scott Laffin of Feature Golf Design with the production of the Ryland Lakes Country Club Master Plan. The project focused on enhancing a historic nine-hole private community course through thoughtful improvements that maximize the existing property while preserving its unique lakeside character.
The master plan included a creative double-tee routing strategy, allowing the club to provide 18 distinct playing experiences without expanding beyond the existing footprint. Additional improvements addressed throughout the plan included selective cart path removal, updated grassing lines, bunker renovations and removals, and expanded short-grass areas around greens to enhance strategy, aesthetics, and long-term maintenance.
The completed master plan provides Ryland Lakes Country Club with a roadmap for the future, balancing modernization with the preservation of the natural setting and character that define the property.
